Project Description
The plan provides guidance that will enable and encourage transit supportive development in the developable areas within a half-mile radius of the commuter rail station located just north of 124th Avenue, on the west edge of the Eastlake Neighborhood and historic commercial district.
The project included the development of a concept for street, parking, and streetscape improvements on First Avenue, a plaza at First Street and Lake Avenue, a feasibility study for the adaptive reuse of the grain elevator, a strategy for the development of complementary uses around the grain elevator, and a strategy for improving the open lands parcels along both sides of the railroad tracks.
